Cinestory and Disney Program finalist, Rochan (pronounced "Rosh-Anne") Liu, is a writer-director from the farmlands of South Africa, currently pretending to be a city girl in LA.

The eldest of three tenacious daughters, with family scattered across four continents, it comes as no surprise that Rochan tells stories about ballsy women from far-flung places, nor that her bank account is frequently frozen for suspected fraud. As a person and a writer, Rochan is an optimist to a fault. She views life through rose-tinted, heart-shaped glasses, finding humor in the mundane, hilarity in the dramatic, and a sense of magic in normal, everyday life.

Rochan most recently showran two narrative podcasts and freelanced on Disney's "Pretty Freekin Scary." She previously worked in the writers' rooms of "The Conners" (ABC), "Single Drunk Female" (Freeform), "Splitting Up Together" (ABC), and Mike Judge's "QualityLand" (HBO).
